Vaucluse festivals

The Vaucluse is home to prestigious festivals where locals and visitors gather for an evening or a sunny day.

We particularly recommend visiting these festivals: Avignon Festival (theater), Carpentras Festival (theater), Vaison La Romaine Festival (classical music), Chorégies d'Orange (opera), and Sorgues Festival (jazz).

There are also numerous traditional events and festivals: flower parades (Carpentras), votive festivals (in most towns), spelt festival (Monieux), festival Harvest Festival (Malaucène), Lavender Festival (Sault), Melon Festival (Sarrians), Bullfighting (Pernes les Fontaines), which are often the site of medieval events (fights, markets, dances, large picnics), and world-renowned fireworks displays such as the one in Monteux in August.
